![]() Seth Gecko (28) I'm not here to wax poetic. I've done some very messed up things in my life. I'll be the first to admit that. But I'm not your enemy, and I'm not your friend. I'm simply here for what's mine. |

Coffee. Whiskey is good in the right situations though.

I'm not too sure that I've seen anyone do that either.
[Okay, so Mercy is a little more than amused by that.]
What's your favorite whiskey?
no subject
[ The last a mixed drink with bourbon rather than straight liquor. ]
no subject
[To be honest? Mercy's never really been the whiskey type of girl. She'll stick with her coffee on the good days. Strong drinks every once in a while.]
Maybe we should head out and have me try the one you like the most.
[Hey, she's willing.]
What's a good place for something like that?
no subject
Haven't found my favorite spot just yet. Rogue's Gallery wasn't cheap on their pour but it's definitely a dive bar. Coat and Arms wasn't bad.
Been meaning to check out the Den of Thieves, that one's on the other end of the city I haven't made it to yet.
Who knows, they might even have coffee.
[ Cue a smartass smirk. ]

[If they don't have coffee then that'd be okay too.]

That'd be nice. Is there anywhere that you want me to meet you?

How about neutral ground. Center of the city.
no subject
[ She was smart for being cautious. Seth respected that. ]
How long before you'll get there?
no subject
[She was raised by werewolves. One had to be smart when you had the Marrok for a father figure.]
Shouldn't take me no more than ten minutes.
[Mercy was, after all, faster than your normal human.]
[action]
I'll be the guy in the sixty-seven GTO. See you then.
[ With that, Seth cut off the feed and headed out after slipping his forty-four in the small of his back. The back of the suit vest he wore was instinctively moved over the pistol grip to hide the piece. He pushed up the sleeves on his henley onto his forearms before the drive.
He pulled up to the city center with shades on and his left arm resting over the driver's side door with the window down, trying to spot the image from her Cuddlr. ]
Re: [action]
[There'd have to be a bit of trust there before she explained anything to the other man. Well, anything that required explaining her speed. So when he does get there she can't help but give off a low whistle. She prefers her VWs because that's what she worked on. Though she's worked on other cars too.
So it shouldn't be hard for Seth to find the girl. Long brunette hair, standing 5'6" and a short shirt that shows off the coyote paw on her stomach. However, her cuddlr doesn't show the tattoo. So when she sees him she can't help but smile a little.]
You must be Seth.

Or maybe he was projecting. He sure as hell didn't want Kate meeting up with anyone male and straight, much less someone that passed as her type.
None of this was Mercy's problem so he kept a poker face at her greeting. ]
That makes you Mercy.
[ Oh the quip that came to mind. Seth swallowed it and just returned her small smile. He motioned with his head to the passenger seat. She'd see the black flames on his right forearm where the henley sleeve was pushed up along with the ones that peeked out on his neck along that side. ]
Hop in.

[Seth might of been her type but that didn't mean she'd go out of her way to sleep with someone. Her type or not in this city. Not when she was married to an alpha werewolf. A nice strong soldier who would rip someone apart if they did something she didn't want.
Moving over she slips into the car and leans back, eyes closing. Just letting herself feel the rumble of the car before those eyes open and she turns a bit to Seth.]
Nice car. Tattoos as well.
[She won't ask their origin though. Not when it's possible he wouldn't want to talk about them. Or in case they were associated with something in his past he wanted nothing to do with.]

[ The appreciation came with a nod and eyes on the road. He swallowed, not knowing the protocol about whether or not he should be noticing and complimenting her ink where it was. Abs were in that gray area; close to intimate places but not quite there.
She was right to assume he wouldn't start telling her the story of the flames up his arm that reached his neck. It wasn't something he started conversations with. Mercy had being a mechanic on her Cuddlr so he stuck with talking about the car. ]
The guy that raised me and my brother had a thing for classics. I'm happy as long as it has some muscle. This is pretty sweet for something about as old as my old man.
[ Eyes on the road with hardly a peripheral glance behind his shades as he drove to their destination. ]

[The coyote paw on her midriff wasn't the only ink that she had. However, the other ink was covered up by long sleeves and wasn't on display. It was up to him if he wanted to compliment or ask about the tattoo that he could see though.
As for car talk, she could definitely handle that.]
So he was all about the muscle cars and only the muscle cars?
no subject
[ Seth glanced at her. He felt as if there was something missing. ]
What's your taste? Just the Volkswagens? --That's what VW means, right?
[ For all he knew, it could've meant something different. His eyes had returned to the road as they were nearing their destination. ]
no subject
There's nothing wrong with the oldies.
[She liked muscle cars. Anything that wouldn't fall apart, really.]
I don't have a preference with cars. Though I do prefer the Volkswagens. I've been working on VWs for a very long time. However, I know how to fix the muscle cars and some of the newer stuff too.
[Mercy stretches a bit]
I have a love for cars in general though. Besides, you should never trust a mechanic who drives a new car. It just shows that they're a fake.

Mercy entertained him on the short drive over. She held a familiar energy about her, one that engaged but was observing him all the while--the way he was doing with her. He pulled up to the Den of Thieves and gave he surroundings a glance before cutting off the engine. ]
I'll take that into consideration.
[ He uttered in response to her words about trusting a mechanic. Seth glanced in her direction, donning a small yet genuine closed lip grin. He removed his sunglasses and left them on the visor before getting out of the car. Instinctively, he buttoned his suit jacket when upright then tugged on the door handle to make sure the car was locked, trusting Mercy had done the same on her side.
The place looked pleasant enough. Not prissy or high end but it wasn't a hole in the wall either like Rogue's Gallery had been. The Den of Thieves was in a slightly better part of town. Seth had a piece tucked into the waistband at small of his back regardless. He stood at the front of the car and waited for Mercy to join him then walked into the place. ]
I rather not have my back to the door if it's all the same to you, Sweetheart.
no subject
[For Mercy she's seen it all, as it were. Men in suits didn't bother her. Much less ones as young as Seth. After all, her husband liked his suits and looked damn good in them too.]
Good. I'd hate for someone to screw you over.
[If anything she's not sure she'd want someone else working on Seth's car. Not that she could see anything happening to it. Though there's no telling what could happen while in Eudio.
When they get there she slips out of the car and shuts the door, locking it and moving around to the front so she can follow Seth into the Den of Thieves.]
That's fine. I don't like my back to the door either. Though I blame my husband for that one and my sensei.

Sonja had briefly made him a believer but he could always feel something wasn't right. His spidey sense didn't ring there with Mercy. Seth took a long, cleansing breath and held the door as she walked through. ]
I blame life circumstances.
[ Mention of her husband put him further at ease. They were just people of the opposite sex having a drink, nothing for him to guilt about. He would still be pissed if Kate did the very same thing but wouldn't put any thought into that now. ]
Sensei? What kind?
[ Enough kung fu flicks as a kid, Seth was fascinated with martial arts though never saw himself fighting in a disciplined style. He was a brawler by nature and would remain that way until the day he died. What he couldn't handle with his strength, he was smart enough to pull a gun out first or con his way out of the trouble. So far, anyway.
They sat at a table that suited them both. He called out a drink order to the bartender who asked as they passed by. ]
You still wanted to try the whiskey, right?
[ Seth confirmed after ordering in typical fashion for him. Whiskey wasn't the bourbon he ordered but in the same family. Hopefully he didn't fully confuse Mercy. ]
